Windows Phone 8: First Impressions
That is my opening statement :)
After seeing one of my classmates using a Windows Phone over a month ago, I began looking into the OS. Just my luck Microsoft was launching Windows Phone 8, and Nokia and HTC were coming out with two stellar phones using that OS. I decided that I would get a Windows Phone, and so I spent the next few weeks researching and here I am today with my new HTC Windows Phone. It does have some flaws, just as all OS's do.
Pros:
-Complete Facebook integration
-Text and fbook chat in the same windows similar to iMessage on iOS
-See Facebook and twitter updates on the contact itself
-Check-ins and posting to Facebook and Twitter are seamless and simple
-People (contacts)
-Grabs all your contacts from each source you give it, and links it all together
-Does a much better job at linking contacts then Android or HTC ever has done
-Polished User Interface
-Beats Audio (phone specific)
-Great looking phone
Cons:
-No VPN support (uses Direct Access which is a direct SSL connection)
-I haven't found a way to statically assign IP settings
-No detailed battery report (Android wins in this department)
-Lacking in app support for the moment
This is by no means a comprehensive list, however this is what I have found in the first 24 hours.

Sitting on the bus...
On another note, this techno geek managed to find himself a girlfriend. She is amazing. I still don't know how it happened, but I'm glad it did :) Oh, for those of you not in the loop, my girlfriend is Kristi Dudley. Check out her blog.
Before I forget, time for the e3 update!
I watched the part of the Nintendo press conference I had no interest in, and nothing more. I've been busy. That's my report.
The Sims 3 is great! You should get it and play. Super fun.
I'm start school in the fall and in two years I will be a paid techno geek. Woot woot!
That is all for now.

Google+
My first impressions are:
Clean
Simple
Facebook without annoying apps
Google is awesome
--------------------------
As for e3, I started watching the Nintendo press conference. The first 15 minutes were boring (but that's because it was all about Zelda, and I'm not a Zelda fan). Right now I'm at the part that is all about the Nintendo 3DS. I'm pretty excited about that. Might even go buy one myself. Still, I can't wait until Reggie starts talking about the new Wii.
Oh and I changed the name of my blog, as you can see.
